What do the core and in-depth questions explore?
The PlayBlind BDSM test gathers responses about roles and situations, with additional questions based on the scope you choose. For dimensions that are difficult to distinguish from the core responses alone, it asks you to compare different situations. See the introductory page for the test length and estimated time.
Revisiting similar topics is designed to explore responses in more detail. More questions alone don't establish statistical validity or clinical accuracy. This test doesn't replace clinical assessments such as the MMPI.
What does top 31% · bottom 69% mean?
These numbers are an example of how to read results. For a score comparing two roles, they mean your current answers lean more toward bottom. They don't mean ‘69% of my everyday behavior is bottom’ or ‘I'm in the top 31% of people.’
Keep the role dimensions separate. Leaning toward one end of top/bottom doesn't require the same direction on dominant/submissive. Avoid treating scores from different questions and calculation methods as one absolute scale.
What graphs and stability indicators can't tell you
The graph helps you compare your answers at a glance. It doesn't show a population distribution, percentile, or ranking against other users. Response stability and possible variation are summaries of internal response patterns, not statistically validated confidence intervals or diagnostic accuracy.
A high score doesn't tell you how experienced you are, how compatible you are with someone, or whether an activity is safe. Don't directly compare numbers from an older scoring model with the new one.
Three questions to discuss your results
- Which questions were easy to answer, and which made you hesitate?
- What trust or conditions do you need to feel comfortable in your preferred role?
- What interests you without being something you want to try, and what is firmly off-limits?
Don't ask a partner to act in line with a high score. Check whether shared results include a nickname or sensitive preferences, and avoid any disclosure you don't want.

Does a changed result mean the test was wrong?
Results can vary with the person or situation you imagine, how you feel, the questions, and the scoring model. Repeated results may offer clues to change, but aren't a diagnosis that your personality has changed.
Is the in-depth test scientifically validated?
These are PlayBlind's own questions and calculations for self-exploration. This guide doesn't claim clinical validation or accuracy equivalent to a standardized psychological assessment.
